The ultimate guide to finding freedom from people-pleasing.

Freedom from people pleasing

Look, I'm no expert on this subject but thank goodness the Bible is!

Did you even know that the Bible directly addresses the trap of people-pleasing and provides a remedy for it?

"Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people?  If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ." GALATIANS 1:10

The first takeaway from this awesome verse:

You cannot have it both ways!

In other words, you cannot please BOTH God and man.

This is a challenge for many Christians... trust me! You are not alone.

>>> Keep reading to discover why it is such a struggle and how to finally be free from it.

PART I: THE STRUGGLE

God created us to be relational. We crave acceptance, community, intimacy, and approval. Where we drop the ball, however, is seeking these things from the wrong places.

We crave acceptance, community, intimacy, and approval. Where we drop the ball, however, is seeking these things from the wrong places.

Consider this... our need for approval and fear of rejection exist when we don’t know who we are or what we believe - so we let others define that for us!

It echoes the old saying: "If you stand for nothing, you will fall for everything."

Think about this for a minute... Why are we killing ourselves trying to be "liked" by others, when we are already fully LOVED by God?

Look, we all want to know who we are and what our purpose on earth is. But have you ever stopped to ask, “What does GOD say about me? Who does HE say that I am?”

I have spent most of my life and traveled all over the world trying to "find myself"—find my identity, when all I needed to do was open the Word of God.

And let me assure you, the Bible is in no way silent about this topic!

(In fact, check out the Truths below:)

PART II: THE FREEDOM

In closing dear friends, let us stand together in this counter-cultural, fully victorious way of life and CHOOSE to be "more than conquerors through CHRIST Who loved us!" (Romans 8:37)
